America has achieved remarkable progress and prosperity, yet many have paid a significant price along the way. Today, we are confronting an unprecedented cultural crisis whose outcome remains uncertain. By placing this moment within the broader historical tradition of American philosophical thought, we may gain new insight into the nature of our challenges and our possibilities for the future. That will be the focus of this course. Note: This is a hybrid class. Students may attend in person or online.
